Birthday! There is always a Beatles song to fit the occasion. When I was younger, so much youger than today... maybe two! Twenty years ago today... maybe three... I wasn't here twenty years ago but I'm agree it's the place to be. Happy Birthday and thank you to all people who feed the threads and work hard for the forum. ...and help me to write and understand english!
Must admit, I know nothing about this, and I've been here a long time. I seems his name was Jeff. Another bit of History that is a little murky is the Gort known as Rudy.
Happy 20th SH.TV forums! I've been here 11+ years and am grateful for the collective knowledge of all here.
Holy——how in the heck did this become exactly my 500th post!? The magic of coincidences! 500th post...20th anniversary of the Forums...oh my!
I knew you would join. 2005 I am crazy. https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/congrats-tootull-2-000-posts.80118/page-2#post-1773146
And to think I thought this thread was going to be devoted to the Santana album titled Welcome. A personal favorite, honestly. But that aside, this is a wondrous and informative place to luxuriate in our preferred pastime. Cheers to all.
Hi I used to work at Trident Studios St Anne’s Court near the Marquee club/studio around 68-70. I distinctly remember a Tull session at the studio (probably just a mix or overdub) but see no mention of them ever working there in the discography. Is my memory failing?
It is hard to believe but there was a time about 25 years ago when the Beatles were actually somewhat passe. In the UK people were all revved up over Oasis... Sometimes lately it seems that the Forums could be called Steve Hoffman Forums featuring the Beatles and other artists.....
It is going on 19 years for me. Thanks to Luke for pointing me here in 2003. I came via the old Ice Magazine forums. Within a short time, the wealth of information I learned here completely changed the way I purchased vinyl, CDs, SACDs,DVD-A, etc. going forward. Thank you Steve and Jeff for this amazing Web site. Hope we are around again in 20 years.
My gratitude to Steve and everyone who keeps this esteemed Forum going. Gorts, most certainly, who keep things on the rails. I've learned a ton here; as well as realizing the enormity of what I don't know about quite a few subjects I care deeply about. So thanks also to the knowledgeable posters who keep the amazement level high!
