Seems like me and a couple of outliers in a thread about BBC Radio 6 are in a minority here.

As I stated in the "what are you listening to tonight" thread, new artists like Wet Leg make me hopeful for the future of music. I wonder how long they can maintain this precarious balance, but it's a lot of fun so far.

Wet Leg seem to be dissatisfied with their performance on Seth Meyers, because the clip has been taken down from most platforms. Can't understand why, because they looked and played fantastic!

Rhian looks a LOT foxier here than she did in the official Wet Leg video!

Wet Leg's cover of Material Girl is ... awesome:

Thoughts on the new song and video?

And should this be retitled as a general Wet Leg thread?

Saw them play Margate last night in a tiny record store basement

I just got an email that the Toronto show is being rescheduled due to the provincial restrictions here. New date TBA.

That needs an immediate official release.

I hope they do a whole album of pop classic covers.

I noticed that when they posted their US tour dates and had March 7th down as Boston :)

Hoping they make it back later in March before they head back to Europe. Looks unlikely though. Current restrictions are in place at least until March 14th and they are tied up in the US until March 30th, back to back dates pretty much after the 14th. They have a small window before their gig in England on April 7th. Problem is that they're on the west coast at the end of March so unlikely to fly here and then fly home.

They're due to play Vancouver at the end of August so I expect we won't see them until around that time.

I came across them after Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran raved about them on his SiriusXM show “Whooosh!”. They are superb.

I'm usually not so enthused by post 2005 music but I loved this song from the opening seconds the first time I heard it.
Kinda reminds me of The Suburban Lawns.

That she can sing lyrics like "I went to school and got the big d" with a straight face is something.

BTW, I liked this a lot.

They are 4 for 4 in terms of what they have released so far. I've got the album on pre-order and i can't wait to hear it.

The songs released so far are awesome! The lyrics just make no sense for most of the time. But are also catchier each time I hear them during playback. Their debut record will be one fun listing session, I can guarantee that! :D

Hmm. I think this album might be quite patchy.
