I think the general opinion leans to them just being boring and uninspired rather than provocative. It's guitar-based music for people who don't like guitar music. Kind of the supermarket choise.

I think the answer has got to be Beyoncé. Arguably the most important current pop artist and every thread reduces her work to comparisons to Ed Shereen and Justin Bieber or dismisses everything she does due to her involvement of other cooks in the kitchen with her releases. If not her then Kanye.

Well that's what I have to technically put on my passport application, its true. But I think it tends to apply to minority groups , and it does in the dictionary I used. I think using it describe a member of the dominant white culture in modern Britain in normal is a mute point.

I really like Fantastic Negrito, guy made two excellent albums that might be right into the ballpark of many of the classic 60s/70s rock/blues/funk loving posters here... picked up a Grammy for his album last year as well, so it's not like it's totally obscure under-the-radar type of stuff... but alas, most of the posters here are stuck in the music of their youth and reliving the 60s for eternity.

I'm also originally from Cleveland and still had (and have) tons of relatives there (and elsewhere in Ohio) that I visited regularly (and still do) after my folks moved away from the snow. Plenty of MSB (and WMMS etc.) in my life back in the day, too.

It seems like representation on this forum correlates with overall popularity and saturation among the main age demographic here.

In other words, I'd love to talk about Poco more, but Poco just wasn't as big to everyone else, as they are to me.

Deservedly don't your think? There are several valid reasons. Anyway it's all balanced out by many fanbois who think Neil's **** is gold.

I don't hear too much about Peter Gabriel.
What a brilliant artist both solo and with early Genesis.
Plays Live and Melt are just stunning.
Love Phil Collins and later Genesis too.
