You still can. That store should be shut down for either not owning a computer or willfully trying to rob it’s customers.
I said rarest and/or mos valuable I just thought it was interesting. I didnt pay that much for it anyway. my frank iero is also only worth 20$
My brother collects rare sex pistols stuff, so these are familiar sights. But they sure as heck are expensive rare
A couple favorites Covenant-Northern Light, 2002 2x12 Blue October's Any Man In America, 2011 2x12 has shot up. Must not have manufactured very many Shiny Toy Guns-We Are Pilots, 2006 2x12
I have the U.S. edition of Bowie's first album in very good condition It has a cut-out hole, but I think it's worth some coin. Purchased at Thrifty Drugs for 99 cents in the early/mid '70s. Also, first Big Star, but also with cut-out hole. I think I probably have more valuable albums, 'tho. Rarest must be Me And My Brother by Daryl and Dennis Dragon on ESP Disk'/West. Wow! I just checked Discogs and there is one copy in Very Good condition "going for" $5,000! Mine is pretty beat, 'tho. I've never seen a copy other than mine.
King Crimson ~ ''Frame By Frame'' Box Set .. Hand signed By Every Member This is an absolute one-off, incredible rarity. This would be the apex of my KC collection.. This was from the Robert Fripp ''Goldmine Magazine'' Contest .. The prize was this box signed by every current, and past member! c., 1992. The only person that didn't sign was Jamie Muir who was unavailable.. The box took more than four months to get signed.. it was sent special courier to each person. Some on tour, and living all over the world.. Many members were personal friends, many are now gone. Greg Lake Ian Wallace John Wetton Boz Borell
Mrako-Su: Грани Зимы. From Patheon Records Russia Limited edition of 33 copies. Each cover and totem have been individually drawn and therefore unique. Colourbox 4 CD Boxset. Going for silly money
Of those accounted for in price guides: Stereo and Mono LP copies of The Beatles vs The Four Seasons. Both have the original posters.
Mine would probably be an album that came out in '82 or '83...I'd have to check. It's called THRILLER by Michael Jackson. From what I understand, Epic only pressed up a few hundred copies and it didn't sell at all and this guy sank into obscurity. It's ok. :--)
Well Discogs says Dylan's Bootleg 5 Rolling Thunder Boxset from 2003 is the most expensive. Not sure about the rarest. Probably a Springsteen boot from Wembley '85, his 'Rising' or The Black Crowes' 'Lions'.
I don’t collect records for their value, other than listening value, but a few I guess have some value: Bill Evans - Some Other Time. I think this was a RSD release a few years back. I really like it. John Coltrane - Blue Train mono release from 2014 Grant Green - Idle Moments, another 2014 release. I guess they may be worth some because they were limited releases? Also: Sandra Alexandra - Brown Sugar, Live at Lloyd’s Dont know much about it, but it seems to have exchanged hands for lots of bucks over the years. Cool record, though.
Off the top of my head, I'd have to say the rarest and probably most expensive record in my collection is the withdrawn UK 7" single of Roll Over by the Thompson Twins. Apparently all copies were withdrawn on the day of release and destroyed - same goes for the 12" as well. While white label promo copies of the 12" use to command a fairly healthy price, that's dropped to more reasonable prices.
Bob Dylan ~ "I Threw It All Away" / "Drifters Escape'' Columbia Records .. 10'' Mono two sided acetate lacquer. c., 1969.
- Two copies of Kokyo Kyokushu (2013) LP with the Princess Mononoke cover art. - Plantlife (1983) LP by Claude Larson - Multiple 25 - 50 run indie & overseas releases
I have a third-state Butcher cover. The pictures documenting the process of steaming the paste on cover being removed, were unfortunately lost when I had to get a new pc. So, I may never be able to sell it. That leaves my NM box of Beatles singles from '82. I don't think I would sell that either.
I have an original vinyl pressing of The Tragically Hip’s “Live Between Us” which used to sell on Discogs north of 500$. It’s since been reissued and can be had brand new for 40$.
I think Discogs just shows what's sold for the most through that site, doesn't it? I don't think it accounts for most valuable period...
I have a 4th state Butcher. It's just a copy of "Y&T" that never had the Butcher image on it at all. Is it valuable?
