Flawed masterpiece (sonically) You don't have to convince me. It's one of the studio albums I still listen to on a regular basis.
Caress of Steel After all these years my favorite Rush album Is is their best? Obviously not, but it's the one I go to the most Still don't get the Bald hate, it's a young Neil already thinking like an old man, noting that time is fleeting and that it marches on while also mourning the 60s giving way to the "me"decade. These are themes he would return to later after dropping the Ayn Rand BS.
Listening via Apple the new Natural Science from the PWaves boxed set. oh and btw, this is proof that Permanent Waves is an 80’s album, not a 70’s album.
I'm a HUGE Caress of Steel fan. It's one of my all-time favorite albums. Don’t RUSH to Judgement: An Impassioned Defense of Caress of Steel – Green and Black Music

Been on a bit of a Signals kick lately. REALLY digging "Chemistry" for some reason, a song I loathed when the album first came out. In fact the whole album was a bit tough for me following MP, but it grew in stature for me over the years.
Watched R30 today, and have listened to Counterparts about 7-10 times this week. Three times today. Both excellent
Hammersmith Odeon 1978. I sure as heck hope we get a complete 1981 concert when they do a Moving Pictures set. Montreal would be good
Criminally excluded from Exit: Stage Left. Side 2 should’ve been: 1. Limelight 2. Closer To The Heart (make a cut to the end/crash of Beneath, Between Behind...same key)...or use a 1981 performance 3. Jacob’s Ladder 4. Vital Signs Slightly OT, I need to track down a clean copy of that b-side, and the audio/mix from the ESL laserdisc and put together a revised track list
