I got my first CD player for Christmas that year, a Fisher, when I was 15.

I unboxed it a few weeks before Christmas to make sure that it worked, and this was my test disc.

I used all of my Christmas money that year buying CDs, mostly upgrading my favorite cassette albums.

 

It's not, it's over there.

I still have the Claptons and WYWH. Upgraded Dark Side at some point.

 

October 18, 1984 I got ZZ Top's Eliminator and J. Geils Band's Freeze Frame.

Steely Dan - A Decade of Steely Dan
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
The Digital Domain - A Demonstration

I'm pretty sure I still have these somewhere...
