Let me get this straight because my head is spinning:

Which version is missing the "Come on in My Kitchen" intro?

    1. The Diament original
    2. The Gastwirt remaster
    3. The new HDCD version.

Sound's important to me, but I can't live without that intro....

I'm coming a little late to the party here! ;)

I just picked up the new HDCD remastered version yesterday. I haven't had a chance to give this a good listen to, yet...

Anyway, I didn't realize I had (I think) the original and the Joe Gastwirt version! :p I say think I have the original because my copy is missing the -2 on it. My catalog number is A2 19117. What do I have?

Joe, based on the catalog number you listed, I'd say the copy you have was licensed and issued by Columbia House. They used that numbering format. The "A" is the first letter of the label name (Atlantic in this case). The "19117" refers to the original catalog number. That disc should be the Diament.

You know, I thought of that...but didn't see the usual Columbia House (CRC) anywhere. So I dismissed it.

    Thanks for the info!!! :righton:

That's pretty funny. I did'nt know what the title meant either. Now I do.

I would recommend the original CD. Sounds warm and pretty good to me. I'll have to try that trick that Steve recommended.
