George Harrison ended up playing guitar on Cheech and Chong's "Basketball Jones" because both happened to be recording at A&M at the time. In "Coming Up Close" Aimee Mann sings the line "we got back in the car and listened to a Dylan tape." Years later I asked if the song was autobiographical and she said yes. The tape was "The Times They Are a-Changin'."
The Mynah Birds. Dont think they ever released anything. Bruce Palmer (Buff Springfield bass player) was in the group too.
No, I saw it in the theater when it came out, which was what, 40 years ago? It was very funny. I didn't memorize it.
It's not bad, very R&B. Produced by Smokey Robinson. You can "acquire" it. Rick James was AWOL from the U.S. Navy. They caught up to him when the Mynah Byrds were in the U.S. You can also acquire jam sessions with Hendrix and Buffalo Springfield. Very good, also very bluesy/R&B. And Zappa onstage with Pink Floyd. The sound quality on that one will test your will, believe me. Also with bad sound quality, Yes with Iron Butterfly.

Paul Anka got John Prine and Steve Goodman their first record deals. Goodman was grateful for it and thanked Anka in the credits on the cover of his first album. Prine was a bit of a snob about it.
"Ladies and Gentleman, Jesse has left the building" "Boss, we gonna tour next summer? What d'ya think JP? "50,000,000 Jesse Fans Cant Be Wrong" "Jesse Is Back!" yeah, idk, maybe..sounds more like a joke off of "Full House" though.
