What does it say that 10 people voted Ringo?

It says that one or two genuinely like his voice and the rest are likely sick of Beatles posts on the forum and used Ringo as a protest vote rather than simply not clicking on the topic.

Voted for Paul. The greatest voice in popular culture.
Some weeks ago, I was listening to Spotify, and The Man came on.
That first line “there’s a man.. who plays the game of life so well..
I dont know, they way he sang that line, his angelic, unique voice, just made me emotional.
One line. Thats all Macca needs.

Paul's voice is more versatile - ballads as well as rock (why don't we do it in the road?).

Ringo: one the most distinctive singing voices in rock music.
George: sang with the most scouse accent.
Paul: the most versatile and experimental singer in the band.
John: the most natural sounding singer in the band, and with the most pleasing tone.

    My vote goes to John.

The man who sang Twist & Shout.

His "early" voice, singing from the chest, was incredible. What tone he had.

"With a little help from my Friends" had the right singer. Ringo was perfect for that one.

    I like Lennon's voice, not Mercury's.

Paul had a stronger voice on objective criteria.

John had a greater impact with the way he used his.

    I went with John.

They were without question the two best white male combined lead/harmony singers of the 60s and 70s.

Paul's voice was technically the better but for me John's voice was more unique and recognisable.

    Agree about John.
No contest, one of the best voices ever in rock and roll.
His vocal on their version of Money is a perfect example.
I couldn't explain either the emotion I hear or feel in songs like You've Got To Hide Your Love Away and many others. No Reply. There's so many.

Clinical perfection is a terrible case to present, it never did anything to move my soul

None of the Beatles exhibited "clinical perfection" in their singing.

Voted John, but for me, it's all about the harmonies w/The Beatles. With garage-rock revival bands of the early 00s, favorite is Mando Diao, over The Strokes or others, because they harmonize (Swedish Beatles). Garage-r-pop is a fav! Early Beatles is fav. time-frame b/c it's the beginning of garage rock & power-pop. I've never tried to extrapolate one voice over another for preference, until this thread! For me, the nod goes to John b/c I think for rock, that a less imperfect, less polished tone is better suited.

    I guess I must like
nasal voices (which, I'd never examined before, either!), as Oasis is a favorite band & Liam does sound John-like (so worhips @ John Lennon altar), but more roughed up & louder/powerful...though, he also softens it up & does great ballads, too (all the more beautiful b/c of just how opposite the soft & hard is brought to bear/maybe unexpected tenderness.) W/time he got more nasal sounding & I can hear that more pronounced now w/his solo career. I also like Mike Ness/Social Distortion, Tom Petty & Tom Petty proteges, The Shelters, as well as Spoon...Britt Daniel. I don't listen to all of 'em in succession/probably why I'd never been aware of this. I'm usually surprised when I read about "nasal" in others' observations. I only became familiar w/Britt Daniel when he performed "I Me Mine" on George Fest - some commentors on youtube talked about nasal quality, saying he should blow his nose. Maybe they've all had deviated septums in common (?)

Did I read somewhere ("Tune In?") that they could actually scream in tune? Harrison is underrated as a harmony singer and I think generally McCartney and Lennon were the best singers for their own songs. Imagine Paul singing "Happiness is Warm Gun." It might have sounded a bit whimsical. Imagine John singing "Fixing a Hole" - would've been ok, but Paul's vocal has a subtle bouyancy. So, 'best' changes depending on circumstances.

I love all their voices but Paul is my clear choice. I can’t sing a note and my whole life I have wished I could sing like McCartney.

This is incredibly tough, as Lennon and McCartney are two of the best singers in rock history. I'd have to give the nod to Paul for his range and versatility.

    John then George.

George's voice double tracked with harmonies gives me chills (such as in Here Comes The Sun and Something.)
