By which I mean, which song required the most vocal talent, control, range, etc., etc., from the singer, be that John Paul George or Richard. Which song do you think would be the hardest for someone else to sing ?

Without giving it too much thought, my vote would go to helter-skelter. Seems like one would require a lot of control to perform those vocal acrobatics.

I'd thought first of I Am The Walrus, but then remembered almost instantly, like yours, Oasis did both of them very well & performed both, live, often:...
Liam doing I Am The Walrus & Noel, Helter Skelter.

Yes It Is - hitting those odd and at times somewhat dissonant three part harmonies - even The Beatles may be imperfect there at times.

    Helter Skelter or Oh Darling.

Tried before, I have the range but sustaining that for that long is incredibly hard if you want the delivery to be at all convincing

I can't imagine Here There and Everywhere being easy.

YES YES YES!!! In terms of a singular vocal, I'd probably give it to Oh Darling...but in terms of a group of people working out and getting down the correct arrangement, PW wins hands down for me. Best proof of this is the three Beatles attempting to "get" this in any 1966 live performance. Disaster.

Both of these are really easy songs to sing well, even if you’re an average singer.

It's the harmonies that can make it tricky sometimes. But if a small group of guys have a reasonably good ear they're not that difficult at all.

Really? I wouldn't argue because I don't know anything about the technicalities of singing, but I haven't heard much that sounds like Here There and Everywhere outside of 50s ballads and the Beach Boys that influenced it. Of course, there's a lot of layering on the HT&E vocals.

I think that the harmony part on the bridge is not for the faint of heart...or the overconfident.

The almost impossible thing to sing in the Beatles catalogue, is the "bridge" in "I've got a feeling":

"All these years I've been wandering........ .... looks like you."

    Good morning !

Read somewhere that Lennon said he could have sung it better.
Maybe he could have. Liked to have heard that.

Even McCartney had a difficult time with it. His voice cracks on , I think , the stereo version.
