Correct. This is going to be a new mix using more of Adrian's guitars and all new keyboards.

That sounds class. Always loved the songs on Slip of the Tongue, just wish the guitar work was a little more restrained.

I have mixed feelings about a redone SOTT. Had it been done with the box set, then fine, but now I am way less likely to pick it up unless it's revelatory and dramatically different sounding.

Well you can sample what it's going to sound like from the upcoming Love Songs disc:

    The Deeper The Love

Well I hope it sounds better than that.....I'm not sold on that. That harsh rhythm guitar (Vandenberg?) they've added does nothing for the song.

I think this remix of The Deeper The Love sounds amazing.

I like how they made the drums sound more organic and made David's voice more present.

Haven't listened to it yet, but Love Songs is here!

A few words from the liner notes:

David says there are an additional two remixes they did for The Deeper The Love which will be included on the new Slip of the Tongue.

Too Many Tears is the Into The Light version remixed, not the Restless Heart version.

He also says a Into The Light box set is coming, along with a Good To Be Bad box!

For Into The Light he says they recorded enough material for a double album.

Gotta pick up the Rock album. Listening now on Spotify and I’m loving the new remixes.

Also I can’t wait for a newly remixed SOTT. I didn’t pick up the boxset, just the 2 CD edition, but I’d love to hear a remix of that with new Vai guitar parts.

Love how this new snake comp ends with the 8:08 minute ballad "Let's Talk It Over".
Perfect ending to this comp. IMHO

i'm not really that impressed with the sound of these cd's.
I'm only buying whatever the "new" or "unreleased" songs are that are put on these....so far 4 songs.

Really enjoying this Love Songs album!! I initially felt ol' Cov had tampered with the tracks too much. But they all sound fresh and as a complete album, it works!!!
"With All of my Heart" sounds very Lennon!

During these Trilogy interviews, has it been mentioned if Slide it In will get another fresh coat of paint as the rest of the catalogue DC owns or the 35th anniversary will be the last for the time being?

I hope that'll be it. There really should just be one big box set per album at the most...otherwise, it's just WAY too many re-issues and become even more silly that it already is for some artists....

I don't think there will be another issue of Slide It In in the near future...nothing he has said has indicated it.

Is the 5 disc set that came out a few years ago not enough?
