Whether it was a musical thing, or personal. And explain what it was. Many times I'm not too familiar with certain bands besides the music and its nice to know other things, so even a sentence is very appreciated.

First one that comes to mind is Keith Levine with the Clash and Public Image. But now that I think about it, I can't remember if he quit or got sacked.

Ace and Peter, according to Gene.

Just reread the question, my mistake...different bands not the same band...nevermind me.

Bob Daisley & John Wetton have both been involved in a number of move on's during their time.

I can't think of too many times Wetton was really booted. I mean he did leave Asia and returned (at least once). Usually he just went job to job for a while.

i actually don't think there are all that many people that were kicked out of more than one prominent band. what there are are a lot of examples of people who were notoriously difficult to work with, and who kind of bounced around from one situation to the next. Jeff Beck would be the king here.

on a related note, there are also a fair number of people who fired a lot of people from their bands--Arthur Lee, Mark E. Smith, Roger McGuinn for instance.

We have no way of knowing why he moved on so much. Was he pushed or did he jump. We don't know.
We can presume that musical ability was never a factor.

Tommy Bolin did a lap or two around the music biz, largely because of his addictions. But, damn, was he was talented. I had a ticket to see Jeff Beck with Tommy as the opening act, but he died two weeks before the show in a hotel room in Miami from a drug overdose. I think he was 26 at the time.

I can't think of many that got genuinely booted out.

Eddie Jobson was in four different bands in a five year timespan - but I don't think he got kicked out of any of them.

Andy Ward, original drummer of Camel was getting worse with stuff like drug usage, whether he was ditched or he chose to leave, I'm not sure, but he lasted in Marillion for only three months due to the same thing and WAS kicked out.

Bill Ward from Black Sabbath. Who knows why? I think each have different recollections of the events.

Bill isn't the only one. If you look at Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Dio, Ozzy Osbourne's band and Sabbath, there is a revolving door of the same musicians that have played for different lineups of each band.

Would Scott Weiland count, with STP firing him and he being a big reason of the first breakup/hiatus, then Velvet Revolver eventually not being able to handle his antics?

He's only been in two bands, Blues Project and Blood Sweat and Tears, and only arguably kicked out of the latter.

Simultaneously on and off topic (more off than on to be quite honest but interesting nonetheless)….

24 Bands With The Most Members - The Cavan Project

List of Waterboys members - Wikipedia

At this rate of attrition I reckon that Mike Smith shall fire me on October 18, 2023 at 9:35 am GMT... I shall look back upon my time with The Waterboys fondly... five perhaps ten minutes of evanescent glory...

I could have been a member of Dexys Midnight Runners (43 and counting members) but I took a pass after steadfastly refusing to wear those bloody awful calf-length trousers...

I was (and still am) bitter over my experiences as a former member of the Bay City Rollers... (don't ask... seriously... my head will explode... I'm still seething with nearly poisonous resentment over having been sacked even though its been over 40 years... I can hold a grudge with the best of 'em…)
