I will check it out for nostalgia sake but like most sitcoms these days it wont be good. Alyssa Milano and Christina Applegate were tv favorites back in the day

    we're both wrong
In 1978, Fabares played Francine Webster on the CBS sitcom One Day at a Time, a role she reprised for the last three years of the show. "I was Francine, a rather villainous character," she said later. "She was wonderful. She saw the world only through her eyes, and it never occurred to her that her people didn't."[16]

I was doing one on one interviews with cast and crew on a movie set for a freelance story. She was in a playful mood and sat down on my lap while I interviewed her. I wasn’t going to argue. :)

What were we wrong about? You said she was on "Who's the Boss?". I said she wasn't. She was on "Coach" for many years.

  9. "Putrid piece of garbage"?
While the show was no high mark of television programming I hardly think it was so bad as to call it "putrid" and "garbage."
Even more so when you say you never watched a second of the original.
Maybe you watched some in reruns, but if you have never watched a second of the show how can you have any measure of the show?

  10. I watched the show when it aired too. The show was okay at best, and not really my cup of tea, but many people liked it.
I just don't see a good reason to make a new show based on these old characters...but hey, trying is a good things, so let em' try.

The poster was pointing out that the show is NOT one of the most beloved television comedies. I watched the show at the time, and I would guess that the reason it was successful at the time was due to the low caliber competition it had. Generally speaking, outside of Milano and Katherine Helmond, the show had nothing to offer. Just dreadful stuff.

Well, that was inevitable I suppose. I still would like to extend the olive branch and agree to be cool to each other. Deal?

No, I’m not. I was just trying to clarify. I seriously was not trying to argue. I have nothing against you and never have.

Yes Godshifter but I'm confused why entire pages of posts and the beginning heading go silent and not to be found anywhere. Is this common? The best forum discussions go crickets. Very strange.
