Why haven't Tarantino and Travolta worked together since Pulp Fiction?

Travolta has a roller coaster career. Hot,not, then hot again. And Tarantino is talented but a bit of an odd duck. Quirky?

Travolta is not a very good actor.

Tarantino is a great director and often gets great performances out of actors from whom you wouldn't expect a great performance. Travolta in Pulp Fiction is a good example.

Maybe QT is just waiting for that rare role again where Travolta can flourish.

QT's only got one film to make to complete his 10 movie then quit/retire though he's not ruled out TV. What's his 10th final film going to be, another western ?

  4. Tropic Thunder is not a cinematic masterpiece, but it did offer the vehicle for the best acting I've ever seen out of Tom Cruise. He was cast against type, and did a superb job with the part. Cruise practically stole the film, from a rogue's gallery of hams. They were all getting paid to chew the scenery, but Cruise chewed it the best. Maybe not the most, but the best.

Was Travolta to bossy boots perhaps on the set ? Clash of egos perhaps ?

Is there any photos of the two of them together since 1994?

after Pulp JT was deluged with scripts and basically asked one question "which ones will pay for my jet (s)"

i think Toms best performance was in Magnolia. shows what he can do with a real part, if u go back to his early roles (Taps, All the Right Moves etc) he's a good actor, he just found a groove and stuck with it

I enjoyed 2017's "American Made" with Cruise, not your usual blockbuster movie.

Because Travolta is a terrible actor and repeating the kind of stunt-casting part he played in Pulp Fiction is not the kind of mistake QT would make.

If any QT film subsequently after Pulp Fiction that would have been a good vechicle for John Travolta then Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is it.

John Travolta could do 2 things very well, one was play Vinnie Barbarino and the other was dance. QT was brilliant in utilizing those two traits.

I don't know how you could go back to that same well and be so effective.
