The best track from Other Voices and Full Circle, IMO.

I have that. It's a 37-track behemoth; probably the best Doors compilation out there.

The Doors aren't The Doors without Jim. "The Doors 21st Century" (or whatever Kreiger and Densmore are calling themselves) seem to be selling out a lot of shows. I'm not interested in seeing them, but has anyone else here caught their show?

I had a chance to go but I didn't. My friend, who is the biggest Doors fan I know, loved the show but he is a Doors freak.

That would be an outstanding collection. I am getting closer to finishing my own CD-R of Doors singles.

Anyone have a clean "Break On Through" / "End Of The Night" single I could borrow? PM me!

Yeah, I think I have all of those. No, honest!

You wouldn't believe how many ABBA compilations I own (CDs/LPs).

I bought the double disc set "The Best of the doors" years ago. For a time I only had three double albums: "The Best of the Doors" "Pink Floyd, The Wall" and "Rush Chronicles".

My doors collection consists of the fore-mentioned comp, and the complete studio recordings boxed set.

Maybe they'll get some ideas from some jazz reissues:

The Ultimate Doors - compiled by (insert Doors-loving rock star)!
    The Doors' Finest Hour
The Doors: 16 Most Popular Songs

Still haven't done a plain old Essential Doors.

If you want some really cool Doors cds, Rhino Handmade has cd sets of the 2 shows they did at the Aquarius theatre. The neat thing is that they are the whole complete concert, just the way that you would have heard it if you were there! Two thumbs up!!!!

I really like "The Doors Greatest Hits". However, it is just too darn long to get through in a sitting. I've always secretly hoped that they would anthologize it - maybe "The Best of The Doors Greatest Hits". Skim off the absolutely best of those greatest hits....

Too bad Steve never got to do the Best of The Doors for DCC.

THAT woulda been the one to have.

04 Not to Touch the Earth
    05 Peace Frog
    06 Soul Kitchen
    07 Spanish Caravan
    08 Moonlight Drive
09 I Can't See Your Face in my Mind
    10 Five to One
    11 Land Ho!
    12 Alabama Song
    13 Unknown Soldier
    14 The Wasp
    15 L.A. Woman
    16 The Crystal Ship
    17 Strange Days
    18 The End

I haven't thought of a title yet though...

I'm saving that for my next compilation... tenatively titled super hits. It will include Touch Me and Light My Fire on a endless loop. :p
