I'd like to see a thread about people who are famous for just being in a one off situation like this Woodstock couple, the Beatles Ed Sullivan girls, the Altamont kid shaking his head no to Jagger, that tripped out dude on stage, etc. Maybe there is one?

Yeah you can find some good stuff live on YouTube but the show I saw it just was so far off from the studio perfection and you could tell when parts were fed in which is perfectly fine in this modern world.

Do you like the first Temples album Sun structures? That and the 1st 2 tame impala albums are rocks shining beacons at this juncture. The psychedelic porn crumpets newest album is also fantastic.

What’s the biggest takeaway for you from this whole ordeal?
Michael Lang - The major one, frankly, is if you have an investor that’s just going be an investor and stay out of your way, then fine. But if not, you really should be in business with some people who are of the business.

Lang is an interesting person, and one that seems moderately untrustworthy based on his track record. I see a picture of him and sense badness. See this recent article from Spin

It Seems Like Woodstock 50 Co-Founder Michael Lang Ignored a Lot of Solid Advice

A big problem is that rock is dead. In 1969 you couldn't throw a bong without hitting a big time rock band. Now, there's about ten touring rock bands that large numbers of people would travel to see.

What really blows my mind about this is that it is a recent article from SPIN! I thought they closed up shop in the late 90s or very early 00s!

That nobody needs another damn three day festival when we're already lousy with them? That the whole Woodstock "peace and love" concept was a myth from the start? (I repeat, read Barefoot in Babylon, Lang is a fraud, always has been.)
