I'd love if more of his films were released on bluray. It's a strange thought to me how many movies (in general even) never made it to Blu and are kind of unknown to younger genereations. I'm troubled by how many of his movies are unavailable on any format. Having no luck finding Sweet and Lowdown, Deconstructing Harry, Celebrity (I know there are non-US versions floating around). I'm thrilled at what Twilight Time has been up to and will be grabbing Husbands and Wives asap.
Manhattan Murder Mystery available now: MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY (1993) -- SCREEN ARCHIVES ENTERTAINMENT There is also a sale going on right now on various TT Allen titles. Head on over to SAE.
An obscure little startup company I’ve used before (www.amazon.com) has lots of pretty cheap copies of those first two, at least...
The below movies are easily available on blu in the US and really cheap on the used market for anyone to explore. Hasn't a bunch of his stuff been missing on netflix etc.....the lack of DVD/blu bonus features also "kneecaps" younger viewers when it comes to putting his work in context. The American Masters 3 hour documentary seems to be viewable on PBS for free. I'm a recent convert and found official versions of those 3 movies from a rental store that went under. 1973 - Sleeper 1977 - Annie Hall 1979 - Manhattan 1986 - Hannah And Her Sisters 1989 - New York Stories 2009 - Whatever Works 2010 - You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger 2011 - Midnight In Paris 2012 - To Rome With Love 2013 - Blue Jasmine 2014 - Magic in the Moonlight 2015 - Irrational Man

https://www.nme.com/news/film/amazon-shelves-woody-allen-film-a-rainy-day-in-new-york-2372642 Looks like Amazon is burying a $25mil movie. No blu-ray and breaking his 43 year streak. Blame Ronan Farrow.
Just received this German box set: Five films (Everyone Says I Love You/Mighty Aphrodite/Bullets Over Broadway/Celebrity/Small Time Crooks), region-free, English soundtracks, removable German subtitles. £22.55, delivered to the U.K. in three days, from Amazon DE. A good shout for anyone looking for these films on BD.
That would be lovely, but, given the current climate, highly unlikely. The three Arrow box sets are a good starting point, but things get more complicated when you get into collecting the later films.
Woody Allen: Six Films - 1971 - 1978 Blu-ray | Arrow Films Woody Allen: Six Films - 1979 - 1985 Blu-ray | Arrow Films Woody Allen: Seven Films - 1986 - 1991 Blu-ray | Arrow Films
Probably. I’m region-free, so those restrictions mean little more than a button push to me. As with so many directors, if you want to collect Woody Allen seriously, you need to be region-free.
Still trying to fill a few gaps in my collection, so took a punt on this Spanish BD set of three hard-to-find titles. Only had a quick scan through each disc — will watch them properly over the next couple of days — but the transfers look decent, they have English soundtracks, and removable subtitles. The cover is a bit crap, but I can live with that. £24.77 from Amazon ES.
I have one of everyone released on Blu ray except for MMM. Its one if my favorites but Im waiting for a sale. I’ve come a long way since I started this thread a few years ago haha.
True..But the WA’s seem to take time befor they sell out. And TT usually give a heads up when they are low on stock.
I’m sure you’ll be fine, as long as you keep one eye on the ball. Of the titles available on BD, I’m missing nine: all later films dating from 2001-present, all unreleased in the U.K. and U.S.A. I plan on importing them from Europe in the next month or two.
So I believe the following titles have not been released on blu-ray somewhere in the world. Play It Again Sam Deconstructing Harry Sweet And Lowdown Melinda And Melinda I think that is it right?
