Words that you have only ever heard used once in a song.

  1. "innuendo", in "Down The Road", by Lowell George (Little Feat)

My guess being that there are others by him.

I’m under the impression we’re looking for words we have heard only in a song, not for a word that appears only in one song. And so “pilchard” is a word I’d never heard before “I Am the Walrus,” whereas “semolina” is a word I’m pretty sure I’ve heard elsewhere. (Whether said words appear in other songs is beside the point.)

If I’m misunderstanding the OP’s intent, someone please let me know.

"Reminiscent" (The Four Pennies - Juliet)

Ok, chances are "Reminiscent" has been used elsewhere in a pop lyric a few times since then, but I certainly wasn't used to hearing words like "reminiscent" in pop records of 1964 - and a UK number one to boot! (I was later to hear Buddy Holly's "Reminiscing", but I'm still waiting for another "reminiscent'.

Neil Diamond once wincingly rhymed "Sang" with "Brang" in a huge hit record. Any other instances of "Brang"?
    From Play Me

If we're going with "I've only heard it in one song"

    "Bouganvillea seed"

My story is much too sad to be told,
    But practically everything
    Leaves me totally cold.
The only exception I know is the case,
When I'm out on a quiet spree,
    Fighting vainly the old ennui
And I suddenly turn and see,
    Your fabulous face.
I get no kick from Champagne.............

Not saying it doesn’t appear in other songs, but I don’t recall hearing “roulade” anywhere besides Steely Dan’s “Your Gold Teeth.”

And sticking with the Dan, also “retsina” in “Home at Last.”

I give you a whole song full of words never heard before or since: "on the Amazon".. a brilliantly written song covered by Don McLean:

    "On The Amazon"
There's a danger zone, not a stranger zone
Than the little plot I walk on that I call my home
Full of eerie sights, weird and skeery sights
Every vicious animal that creeps and crawls and bites!!
On the Amazon, the prophylactics prowl On the Amazon, the hypodermics howl
On the Amazon, you'll hear a scarab scowl and sting zodiacs on the wing
All the stalactites and vicious vertebrae
Hunt the stalagmites while laryngitis slay
All that parasites that come from Paraguay in the spring
    Hmm, hmm hmmm
Snarling equinox among the rocks will seize you
And the Fahrenheit comes out at night to freeze you
Wild duodenum are lurking in the trees
And the jungle swarms with green apostrophes
Oh, the Amazon is calling me
On the Amazon, the pax vobiscum bite
On the Amazon, the epiglottis fight
On the Amazon, the hemispheres at night all slink where the agnostics drink
All the hippodromes that lie concealed in mud
Hunt the metronomes that live in swamp and flood
Then the kodachromes run out and drink their blood, poor ginks
While velocipedes among the weeds will scare you
And the menopause with hungry jaws ensnares you
Frenzied adenoids infest the hills and slopes
    Everyone avoids the deadly stethoscopes
    Oh, the Amazon is calling
    Yes, the Amazon is calling
Oh, the Amazon is calling me-ee!!
