that bootleg is actually cataloged in discogs as a bootleg. there are people that would actually want to buy that record knowing that it is a bootleg. i haven't looked at this ad, so i'm not speaking on that matter.

and it's not even a bootleg....it's a fake! it is supposed to be mistaken as the real thing.....much worse than a boot....

Maybe you could sweeten the pot a little by saying how much you're willing to pay. I think it should be somewhere north of $200.

i still can't believe the seller re-listed the counterfeit without referencing the link i sent to him!? does eBay allow the sale of fraudulent items?

is it really over 200 for the authentic? is that for the promo or for the official? and is there a cut-out situation?

 

So rat him out.

 

Oops. I was off by $70 for a new copy. And a used copy, advertised as "Like New," is only $40.

the seller of the German counterfeit finally got the message....

it is now properly listed as a fake and he got permission from eBay to list it....i have no problem with this listing now...

 

I have a problem with his lack of conscience. Not only is he continuing to post it for sale, he has twice raised the price since learning it was a counterfeit ($50 to $75, then $75 to $100). Furthermore, we can't know for certain that he asked eBay for permission to sell the disc and that permission was granted. Even if permission was granted, that doesn't make it right to post it for sale. If eBay granted him permission to list it, my guess is that they couldn't be bothered with it since it isn't very expensive. Furthermore, they probably expended little, if any effort into investigating the disc. eBay doesn't have a knowledgable staff and doesn't really care about such matters.

The seller is a scumbag.
