Just purchased Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Year Of The Horse" DVD. This is a very nice document of the Horse's last major tour a couple years back, but I wonder why the recorded sound level is so low? Was this intentional - as a way of maximizing dynamic range? Anyone have any thoughts on the subject?
"Silver and Gold" is a more outstanding technical and artistic performance. I find "Year of the Horse" a little bit annoying with the EFX, and it detracts from the perfomances after a while...this is where a little goes a long way, but it got out of hand, I feel.
