I thought about this recently when Jay Baruchel’s character in “This Is the End” picked the Backstreet Boys to perform when he reached Heaven. I didn’t pick one particular show, but I’d love to have seen the 1971 version of The Who play live. I figure they were still near their Live at Leeds live peak and had songs from Who’s Next to play.

    Terrific Thread!:righton:

Been fortunate to have seen lots of great shows, but if I could come back, these are my top ones.
Too difficult to choose 1; I'd toss coin among any of these & be thrilled!:

    INXS - Live @ Wembley Stadium 1991
Humble Pie - Live At The Fillmore East
Social Distortion - Live At Rockpalast 1997 - I'd also have to come back reincarnated a whole lot tougher! :yikes::bone:
    Oasis - Maine Road 1996

Reading festival to see nirvana just one time. I know it is a sloppy show and they aren't exactly masters of their instruments but nevermind was so important in my youth that I want to just see them play once in person.

I'd like to see the best Pink Floyd set with lights at the UFO circa 1966 or early 1967 I think.

    The choices, for me, are:

    Rooftop Beatles
    Woodstock
    The Band, The Last Waltz
Talking Heads, Stop Making Sense (as captured on film)
Grateful Dead Veneta Oregon 1972 (with a ton of water bottles at my side)

The winner...can't do any of them so it does not matter

I just played golf at Tamarisk which is where Frank and the pack used to golf. Also Groucho Marx played there.

Many people in this thread wish to entertain the notion, thus posting in the thread, but few of the 14 pages of people here, will actually go along with the fact that time travel is one million percent real, and has been expieremented with and used by the US gov't for decades!!!!

Something at the Fillmore East, depending on the day it's either the last show from either the BoG run on 1/1/70, Derek & the Dominos on 10/24/70 or the Allmans on 3/13/71

KISS with Ac/Dc opening in 77'. My two favourite bands that got me into music in one concert. KISS at their peak of the big show and Ac/Dc soon to reach their's artistically.

Got me thinking about it and I could also have picked The Allman Brothers June 26 concert, which ended early morning on the 27th, where the Brothers are rumored to have played for 6+ hours and Butch Trucks (RIP) claims they played a 4 hour long Whipping Post. No tapes from that legendary concert have ever surfaced but it makes me wonder if Bill Graham recorded that show as he used to secretly record many of the acts that played the Fillmore. One of the Rock history holy grail concerts.

Lately I've been thinking I'd like to feel the power, energy and fury that was the original Iron Maiden Powerslave tour. It was a true full throttle power explosion and I'd like to get a shot of that right now.
