It's amazing that Brooks churned these two movies out at the same time. But definitely Blazing Saddles is the ultimate winner in my book (funniest movie ever).
I have to go with Mel Brooks - Young Frankenstein is more of a real film and actually adhere's to the original Shelley novel. There are fewer jokes in YF but I feel they land better. Blazing Saddles was a blast but many of the jokes for me don't hold up well. Although I felt that Harvey Korman probably did deserve a best-supporting actor nomination. Hedley did risk it as it turned out
Young Frankenstein because it was one of the very first movies I got to see in a theater unsupervised.
The one with big knockers. On the door. I love the cast; they are each beyond wonderful. I have issues with Mel Brooks.
