Young Frankenstein or Blazing Saddles?

    It's amazing that Brooks churned these two movies out at the same time. But definitely Blazing Saddles is the ultimate winner in my book (funniest movie ever).

    I have to go with Mel Brooks - Young Frankenstein is more of a real film and actually adhere's to the original Shelley novel. There are fewer jokes in YF but I feel they land better. Blazing Saddles was a blast but many of the jokes for me don't hold up well. Although I felt that Harvey Korman probably did deserve a best-supporting actor nomination. Hedley did risk it as it turned out :(

    Young Frankenstein because it was one of the very first movies I got to see in a theater unsupervised.

    I love the cast; they are each beyond wonderful.

    I have issues with Mel Brooks.
