Probably “Heard it on the X.” No matter how many times I’ve heard it over my life, it always brings a smile. I grew up in west Texas, these guys’s music was basically in the water and air. dan c
if I can get away with it, the Waiting for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago setup, otherwise Heard it on the X
"Cheap Sunglasses" is fantastic. Has anyone heard the version on the b-side of the "TV Dinners" 12 inch? It sounds absolutely stunning. I've got Degüello on vinyl and CD (in that terrific box set of the first 10 albums) and although they sound great, they're no match for that 12".
Oof! That's a tough one. I'll go with Just Got Paid, I suppose. Ask me again next week, get a different answer.
There's just something about the slinky guitar and drumming in Master of Sparks that really gets me. I love the lyrics. Great song/story. "How fine they cried, with you inside"
Great thread by the way. They have SO many good songs....I am peering into my crystal ball and seeing there will be a lot of different selections in this thread! Like a guy up thread already said...with ZZ Top...your favorite song could change by the week....or in my opinion...by the day.
