Genesis problem here too - mine is the opening of "Behind the Lines'. Heard it on some sports show on TV last week and it won't unstick. In the shower. On the street. Dah, dah DAH... (huge drum fill).....Dah, dah, DAH....
I've had Liverpool Girl by Ian McNabb and Understanding Jane by The Icicle Works (also by Ian McNabb, for the benefit of the non-fan) alternating for space in my head for a couple of days - at some point they started merging, so now I've got Liverpool Jane (or is it Understanding Girl??! ) by The Icicle McNabb!
That damn theme song to the ABC TV show, "Sullivan & Son". Don't know the name of it but it sounds like an Irish pub song or something.
No thanks to the German teacher at the school I teach in, I have had "Schnappi, das kleine Krokodil" stuck in my head for a few days. I am in hell.
I usually only have earworms when I go from my car into work.... The other night it was the opening to Bob Dylan's Forever Young (Version 2) - the one that's played as the theme song to Parenthood. Today - been listening to a ton of Rolling Stones so it's all jumbled up.
I recorded the tribute band The Fab Four's show on PBS and they did a pretty good rendition of "A Day In The Life." That one's been stuck in my head for about a week now.
Over the last few days, it's been "The Right Thing To Do" by Carly Simon. Not a bad song, and not one I dislike, but it's sure stuck. Harry
Heaven Help Me - Shoes (from the new album, "Ignition"). Stuck in my head in the same way as the best jangle pop records did back in the day. One of those songs that would be all over the radio in a perfect world.
"Black Treacle" by Arctic Monkeys. Kind of a slow burner, but damn it has infected me thoroughly by now! I'm constantly humming it. :O
