The Huey Lewis MFSL redbook is already so good that I would think the improvement would be marginal.

I’m with you on the REO and Winwood, though!

Lol i'm glad someone finally noticed the Shrek soundtrack, that was just a joke. I think Gorillaz would totally work, unless the compression is in the mix but i doubt that because their albums have been released on LP and have really good dynamic range. If the masters aren't hi-res then they could do a gold CD

The quadraphonic mix of Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here', re-channeled to stereo and mastered on an SACD-hybrid.
The original quad-mix contains multi-tracked instrumental elements that are not present in the standard stereo mix.

I have the mono cd box set, but I was hoping for an SACD of this and Ladyland. The SACD of Axis is really good.

For me, it's more about the mastering choices and transfer than the format. Somebody could make a really good Redbook CD, but a really terrible DSD transfer.

    Off the top of my head, I would be very happy if any of these were released by MFSL on CD or SACD;

    Television - Marquee Moon
    Bjork - Vespertine
Southside Johnny - Hearts of Stone
Art Blakey & Jazz Messengers - Free for All
Lee Morgan - Search for the New Land
Sun Ra - Lanquidity, Sleeping Beauty
Van Morrison - Into the Music
Aretha Franklin - I've Never Loved a Man (in Mono)
    Stereolab - Emperor Tomato Ketchup
    Air - Moon Safari
    Orchestra Baobab - Pirates Choice
Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed (original mix)
Marvin Gaye - I Want You
    Kate & Anna McGarrigle
Los Lobos - How Will the Wolf Survive
Donald Byrd - Places & Spaces

That's quite true, but being my dream discs I want them to be top-notch.

Crazy, so many of these suggestions already sound great in their best iterations...

But.... Talking Heads (entire catalog). Those dual-disc things might sound great if they played ok, but I’m not ever putting one in my CD player again.

    Oh, and Nick Drake.

They should also do The Mars Volta - De-loused In The Comatorium on vinyl.

It's a royal PITA finding a decent copy of this truly mind boggling record.

I’ve got most of them and I respectfully disagree: thin and drab. The Sire dual-discs sound great but are sketchy as hell. Sounds like a job for MFSL, imo.

I can only play the Redbook layer, but it's good. The AP 45rpm LP of that is several hundred dollars, so I just payed $30 for the SACD and called it a day (and my analog setup is much better than my digital setup).

Absolutely, and spread out over 2 LP's (particularly Trick).

  18. It's crazy that it is 2018 and we still have never had a proper Leonard Cohen studio album in Hi-Rez sound quality. How about The Future or Songs Of Leonard Cohen?

It's not even that hard licensing these albums.

I have the Radiohead albums on vinyl and they sound great, a huge improvement over their CDs. I'd love to see their whole catalog done on SACD, there should be a vast improvement in clarity and dynamics.

The old Edsel CD of Clear sounds great. Steve Hoffman mastered a SACD recently of The Family that Plays Together. The old silver MFSL CD of Twelve Dreams is also
