I'd love to have seen Reinhardt and Grappelli doing their thing -

Ellington always makes me think of staying with my grandparents for a couple of weeks every summer when I was a kid. Good stuff.

One, Two, Three, Kick is a nice compilation of Xavier Cugat's 30s and early 40s music.

I have in my possession a rare photo of Frankie More's Log Cabin Boys from 1935, the lineup consisting of Pee Wee King at age 21, and the Callahan Brothers recently located from North Carolina to Louisville, Kentucky. Others in the photo include singer Lydia Frank, whom Pee Wee King would marry, and Cousin Emmy, that year the National Old Time Fiddling Champion (beating Clayton McMichin). This one goes in my book.
