It’s always been Blues from Laurel Canyon and always will be, but owing to recent acquisitions, "Back to the Roots" is now a frequent visitor to my turntable.

I always mention this USA Union track on Mayall threads. I remember it from FM radio and it's such a nice, good-timey track. Could and should have been a proper US hit single.

Bare wires for me. Very much of the times, arty and less bluesy than most.

The question more important than what's my favorite album is how could someone put together a poll like this and not list The Turning Point?

(Even though my favorite is probably A Hard Road)

I also vote Turning Point. Voting on best studio albums from bands that excelled live is like voting on the best piece of chewing gum in a NOS pack of 1950s Topps baseball cards.

All of his albums were different so it’s hard to choose one.

No Turning Point? Why have the poll? yea, it's live but it's far above any of the others except Clapton
