Sorry if this has been discussed before. New to the forum. Wondering if anyone has heard any news regarding a vinyl release ? The cd press sound quality is pretty sonic. Bet they could do a lot with a 4 sided vinyl.

As far as Tool vinyl goes, the fire at Apollo Masters Corp would be a bigger issue than Covid 19. Unless they use a mastering engineer who gets his lacquers from Japan it's going to be a long wait.

Yeah, I was really expecting some reissues to be out by now. Very disappointing, but I guess not surprising.

I've got a 1996 RTI test pressing of Aenima that is still sealed... I'm considering opening it soon.

In truth it is so valuable as a sealed item, I'm not sure opening it is the right thing to do now. As people decide to open them, they just become rarer and rarer. If I owned this at this time, it would stay as it is, sealed. I'd wait for the eventual reissues to have a play copy. Some things after enough time just become something more than they were to start with. This mythical test pressing is one of those things. Just my opinion.
